Cut square and calibrate
Cut the pipe at right angles with a pipe cutter, then calibrate and chamfer the end so the fitting’s O-rings are not damaged.
Respect the bending radius
Bend by hand no tighter than 5 × OD, or 3 × OD with a bending spring. Rigid PP-R/AL/PP-R is not bent; use fittings for changes of direction.
Pressure-test before closing
Pressure-test every circuit before screeding or closing walls, following the fitting manufacturer’s instructions and local codes.
